About Joeys Pre-school

Joeys Pre-School is Ofsted registered and provides care and education for children between the ages of two to five years. We follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to fulfill children’s learning and development goals whilst they are part of our pre-school family.

Staff in our Pre-School are very passionate about their roles in supporting every child and their families during their time with us. They have or are working towards relevant early year’s qualifications and attend regular courses, keeping their working practices up to date.

The setting provides a warm welcoming environment to all the children and their families/carers. We pride ourselves on our parent partnership and the support we endeavour to give each child and their family during their time with us. If we feel we can’t help in a situation or answer a question you may have, we will do our best to find this from an alternative route through accessing other Early Years Professionals we work with.

We operate from Furnace Green community centre, Furnace Green. It based in the main hall and has an outdoor area for children to enjoy, we also have access to a small kitchen to provide some hot snacks & do cookery activities with the children. We also enjoy various outings such as visiting the local area, library and going on trips to soft play centre’s and Zoo’s (Drusillas).

Joeys Pre-school often invite people into the setting to teach the children about safety, we have been visited by our local Police Support Officers, Fire service and we have also had the pleasure of meeting our local Post delivery team and Traffic control (Lollypop Lady)
